Since 2000...
the Initiative Awards have recognized the work and dedication of individuals, businesses and communities within the foundation's 14-county service area. Held every 18 months, foundation staff nominate up to three finalists in each category. A selection committee comprised of staff, board members and past award winners select the winner based on their leadership, innovation and community impact.
The event calls to attention everyday individuals while inspiring others to search themselves for their own outstanding community initiative.
Questions regarding the awards event can be directed to Matt Kilian, director of communications.
