Vice President for Economic Opportunity

The Initiative Foundation is seeking qualified candidates for its vice president for economic opportunity position to support the organization and its mission-driven work in Central Minnesota. This leadership-level position provides strategic guidance for the Foundation’s entrepreneurship programs—including business lending and support services, and oversight of the Initiators Fellowship and Enterprise Academy programs. The vice president for economic opportunity also shares responsibility for broader efforts to strengthen local and regional economies, build the capacity of local economic development organizations, engage underrepresented entrepreneurs, and advance strategic partnerships. The Initiative Foundation is partnering with executive search firm Ballinger | Leafblad to fill this position.

Small Business Coordinator

The Initiative Foundation is hiring a small business coordinator to provide coaching, mentoring and technical support to early-stage entrepreneurs. The right candidate is a culturally adept relationship-builder who understands the pathways, models and programs to support entrepreneurs and their ideas. Other responsibilities include business development and training initiatives in collaboration with team members to deliver wrap-around support while preparing clients for microloans or first-time borrowing to grow their ventures.
