Childcare Solutions Program Officer

Central Minnesota has a shortfall of 15,000 to 17,000 childcare slots, and the Initiative Foundation, through its Childcare Solutions program, is vested in closing the gap. We’re seeking a Childcare Solutions Program Officer who can engage stakeholders, surface creative solutions, and harness the power of parents, providers, schools, employers, and local units of government to create opportunity for all through strategic investments.

  • Familiar with childcare economic models and regulations and can recognize where bottlenecks to sustainability for providers can be addressed.
  • An innovator who is ready to try new strategies, partnerships, and interventions to help attract and retain talent while also keeping services affordable for families.
  • Eager to work with home-based providers, center operators, and other sources of support to advance lasting solutions.

Controller, Finance Team

The Initiative Foundation is in search of a controller to join its finance team. This position is responsible for oversight of the organization’s financial records, accurately recording financial transactions, tracking grants receivable/deferred revenue balances, and preparing a diverse range of reports and reconciliations.

  • Brings nonprofit fund accounting experience.
  • Comfortably navigates complex database administration systems.
  • Is versed in administrative and fund accounting practices.

Apply by noon on Thursday, June 22. These positions are based at the Initiative Foundation's Little Falls headquarters at 405 First St. SE and require a portion of work time in the office. As a hybrid workplace employer, these positions allow for some Central Minnesota-based remote work as well as access to our St. Cloud satellite office.
