Foundation Opens Brainerd Satellite Office
November 26, 2018
The Initiative Foundation has launched a satellite office that shares space with two key regional partners: Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce and the Brainerd Lakes Area Economic Development Corporation.
The Initiative Foundation has teamed up with the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce to open a satellite office at the Chamber’s 224 W Washington St. location.
The pairing with Chamber staff and employees of the Brainerd Lakes Area Economic Development Corporation, another tenant in the space, is expected to open new opportunities for collaboration in the region.
“While our headquarters will always remain in Little Falls, the invitation from the Brainerd Lakes Chamber leadership team to share office space will help to align us in our collective efforts to serve the region,” said Matt Varilek, president of the Initiative Foundation.
A cornerstone in 14-county region of Central Minnesota for more than three decades, the Initiative Foundation provides business financing and technical assistance, awards nonprofit grants, hosts Partner Funds and orchestrates a leadership development program to help enable citizens to build stronger communities.
“As our work becomes more mobile, having a satellite office makes great sense,” Varilek said. “We’re proud that we can enable our staff, many of whom live in the Brainerd Lakes area, with a meeting space where they can better connect with community partners and the audiences we serve.”
Headquarters for the Initiative Foundation are at 405 First St. SE, Little Falls. The Foundation also maintains a satellite office at 501 W. St. Germain St. in St. Cloud in partnership with the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation.
