Community Development Program Helps Eligible Hometowns Maximize Potential
Effort includes philanthropic fund backed by a Foundation challenge match to support community priorities
Did you know that Central Minnesota’s population of people ages 65 and older is expected to grow by 49.5 percent over the next decade? And did you know that, for the same time period, the number of working-age adults will increase by just 2 percent?
The shift is upon us. And it's the reason we've redesigned our Thriving Communities Initiative (TCI): To bolster existing leaders and partner with them to attract, train and retain new and emerging community leaders.
Phase I of the TCI program addresses the region's demographic changes and works with you and other established leaders to identify and build relationships with up-and-coming community decision-makers.
Phase II of the program brings existing and emerging leaders together to identify key assets and strategies to uphold and enrich your community's economy and quality of life. A cornerstone of this work is the development of a community Partner Fund that's backed by a $20,000 Initiative Foundation challenge match.
